Dr Daniel Kawczynski

Daniel is an internationally experienced governance leader whose career spans Parliament, international trade diplomacy, and senior commercial advisory roles. Recognised for his strategic foresight, disciplined judgement, and principled leadership, he brings to boardrooms a powerful combination of geopolitical intelligence, commercial acumen, and stakeholder management expertise. During nineteen years as a Member of Parliament—including key roles as the Prime Minister’s Trade Envoy and Chair of four All-Party Parliamentary Groups—he developed deep capability in oversight, scrutiny, and long-term strategic planning. His work with heads of state, global CEOs, regulatory authorities, and institutional investors has shaped a nuanced understanding of international risk, market access, and effective corporate–government engagement.

Lord Henry Bellingham

Honorary President

Henry Bellingham is a British Conservative politician and life peer. He served as MP for North West Norfolk across two periods, from 1983 to 1997 and 2001 to 2019, and was Parliamentary Under‑Secretary of State at the Foreign & Commonwealth Office from May 2010 to September 2012, overseeing Africa, Overseas Territories, and conflict resolution.

Throughout his career, Lord Bellingham has been involved in a wide range of parliamentary committees and initiatives, focusing on rural affairs, small business, international development, and climate change, demonstrating a strong interest in both domestic and international policy issues.

Omran Abusahmin

Senior Consultant - Libya Office

Omran is a seasoned professional with over 25 years of experience in diplomacy, international trade, and private sector management. He began his career at the Libyan Ministry of Foreign Affairs and later served nearly 15 years as Senior Trade & Investment Officer at the British Embassy in Tripoli, strengthening UK–Libya commercial ties.

He then gained private sector experience across food, trading, and automotive industries, including managing a local automotive company representing a major Chinese manufacturer. He also held leadership roles in an Australian security consultancy and has collaborated long-term with the Libyan British Business Council to promote trade and investment.
